Consistent quality, reliable service

This is my third purchase from History Salvaged; I've gotten a few items over the years, including a Titanic wood pen and custom cufflinks. This time I ordered a White House wood pen. As always, the quality is top-notch, and the presentation is excellent. Delivery was on time, just like my previous orders. It's comforting to know I can rely on them for unique, high-quality gifts. They're consistently good, which is why I keep coming back.

So excited about my new pen!

I just received my HMS Victory wood pen and it's absolutely beautiful! The detail on the pen is fantastic, and knowing it's made from such historic wood is incredible. It writes so smoothly, too. I'm really impressed with everything, from the packaging to the certificate of authenticity. This is such a special item. I will absolutely shop here again for gifts!

First purchase was positive

I finally decided to get one of their historical wood rollerball pens, specifically one from the USS Constitution. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. It shipped out in about 3 days and arrived well-packaged. I had a question about the ink refill, and their customer service responded within a day with helpful information. The pen feels substantial and looks great, definitely a unique gift for someone who appreciates history. I'm happy with the quality and the experience.

Cool pen, quick delivery

Got a baseball stadium wood pen for my brother. It arrived pretty fast, like 4 days to Texas. He thought it was really cool, especially since he's a huge baseball fan. It looks good and feels sturdy. No complaints, pretty happy with it.

Good pen, delivery could be faster

I ordered a Gettysburg wood pen for my dad's birthday. The pen itself is really well-made and came with a certificate of authenticity, which was nice. It took about 8 days to get to him in Ohio, which felt a bit long. The engraving was accurate. Overall, a solid product, but shipping could be quicker.

Thinking about getting one of their Civil War pens for my dad for Father's Day. Do these usually go on sale around then, or should I just buy it now?

B Brittany Roberts 2 weeks ago
From what I've seen, they sometimes do like a 10-15% off for those big patriotic holidays, so Father's Day might get you something. But honestly, their sales aren't super frequent.

Yeah, I wouldn't hold out too much hope for a huge discount. They're more about the unique materials than constant sales. Maybe a newsletter signup will get you a first-time buyer code if you haven't used one before.

Can you use standard ink refills for the rollerball pens or do you have to buy special ones from them?

N Nick Martinez 4 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure they take standard refills. My husband's rollerball from them uses common ones, no problem. Just check the type when you get it.

Yeah, most of their pens are designed to be practical too, so standard refills usually fit. I just bought some Parker-style ones for mine and it works fine.

Anyone know if their Titanic wood pens actually come with some kind of proof it's real? I'm always skeptical about stuff like that.

M Mary Rivera 1 week ago
Yeah, they send a certificate of authenticity with each pen. It details where the wood came from and everything. It's pretty legit.

They do! Mine came with a little card explaining the source. It felt really solid, not like some random piece of wood.

How long does it usually take for a custom engraved pen to ship out? Trying to figure out if I can get it before a specific date.

J Jeff H. 1 month ago
For custom stuff, it definitely takes longer. I ordered a personalized one last year and it was like 2-3 weeks before it even shipped. Plan for at least that.

Mine took a bit, I think they say it's handcrafted, so it's not like Amazon prime. Give it a few weeks, especially if you added engraving.
